The 2-day Conference will consist of plenary sessions, thematic panel and group discussions as well as parallel break-out sessions. The Landfill Gas Emissions Model (commonly known as USEPA LandGEM) is an automated estimation tool with a Microsoft Excel interface that can be used to estimate emission rates for Total Landfill Gas, Methane (CH4), Carbon Dioxide (C02), Nonmethane Organic Compounds (NMOC), and individual air pollutants from municipal solid waste landfills.

The ambient air quality monitoring training session aims to introduce the subject of ambient air quality monitoring in the Environmental related works, particularly in Malaysia, to relevant target groups. Participants will be introduced to the monitoring concept of WHY, WHAT, HOW & WHERE. Hands-on training on a wind rose plotting software will be also carried out in this course. Finally, the course ends with demonstration of typical ambient air quality monitoring equipments by a SAMM accredited laboratory.

Generally, the course will be divided into two main parts, namely Theory of Air Quality Assessment and Air Quality Models.
