POSTPONED! Ocean Plastic Waste: Why is it relevant for the Food & Beverage Sector?
Malaysia is one of the huge producers, as well as the destination of Ocean Plastic Waste. Governments around the world are taking serious actions on the management of plastic waste. Food and Beverage (F&B) businesses will be affected by such actions as there will be demands from customers and investors to take concrete action on the plastic waste management. For F&B businesses, this is the chance to innovate and create new solutions/models on tackling this issue.
“Malaysia’s Roadmap towards zero single-use plastic 2018-2030” has been officially launched recently by the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC). Concurrently, this workshop will be discussing the impact of this Roadmap on the F&B Industry.
The objectives of this workshop are:
- Addressing the impact of “Malaysia’s Roadmap towards Zero Single-use Plastic 2018-2030” on the F&B industry
- Understand the importance of ocean plastic waste from environmental, social and business perspectives.
- Explore some of the best practices around the world.
