ENSEARCH in collaboration with the Department of Environment (DOE) is organizing a half-day seminar to further explain and answer your question regarding these new laws. ENSEARCH is pleased to announce that the 6th K. Kumarasivam Memorial Public Lecture 2009 will be held on 2nd November 2009, Monday, 4.30pm at Sime Darby Convention Centre, Jalan Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.

This year’s event is jointly organized by AITAA Malaysia Chapter. Our speaker is Dr. Bindu N. Lohani, who is Vice President (Finance & Administration) of Asian Development Bank, with over 20 years experience in the environmental sector. The theme for his lecture is “Climate Change and Business Opportunities”.

A TWO-DAY TRAINING SESSION. AIR POLLUTION ASSESSMENT (Level 1 – Beginner)

Venue: ENSEARCH Training Centre, Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara.

Trainer: Mr. Lim Sze Fook & Mr. Tan Poh Aun.

The air pollution assessment training session aims to introduce the subject of

air quality assessment in the Environmental Impact Assessment process,

particularly in Malaysia, to relevant target groups. Introduction to specific USEPA

models such as SCREEN3 (Screening Model) and ISCST3 (Refined Model) will form part of the course. Generally, the course will be divided into two main parts, namely Theory of Air Quality Assessment and Air Quality Models.

EIA for Infrastructure Development

The course of EIA for Infrastructure Development has been designed for environmental professionals in both the public and private sector. The main aim is to enable participants to understand how to undertake and review EIAs. The course will cover the main infrastructure sectors such as roads, transmission lines, sewerage and drainage.

A Green Drinks Special Event: The Global Premiere of 'The Age of Stupid'

The Age of Stupid is the new documentary-drama-animation hybrid movie from Director Franny Armstong (McLibel) and Producer John Battsek (One Day in September). Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite (In the Name of the Father, The Usual Suspects, Brassed Off) stars as a man living in 2055, looking back at the present age we are in... and our inaction to do anything substantial to slow or stop climate change.

The film was released to rave reviews (see below) in UK cinemas on 20 March 2009, and September 22nd marks the Global Premiere when it goes out simultaneously to 63 countries around the world.

FUNDAMENTALS OF EROSION & SEDIMENT CONTROL PLAN (ESCP)


Venue: ENSEARCH Training Centre, Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara

This course is intended to provide direct practical application of Erosion & Sediment Control Plan (ESCP) to people in industry who have responsibility for project development, management, planning and operations, with the desire to comply with environmental legislation and improve on their environmental performance and practices.
